Lou

Here is a picture of Lou my buckskin filly.  She is 3 years old and her real name is A Holey Doc Prom.  I showed her a couple of weeks ago in ranch horse versatility.  She did well for a young horse.  She placed in 4 out of her 5 classes.  We have lots of room to improve.  At cowgirl-upquilts we have some new rodeo fabric, one is a roping panel.  You can see it at http://www.cowgirl-upquilts.com/

Arizona Centennial Quilt Fabric

The Arizona Centennial Quilt Fabric by In The Beginning will be shipping today.  If you are interested in this fabric please call me at the shop at 520-586-1616.  Quilt guilds across Arizona will be using this for their challenge quilts for the Arizona Centennial Quilt Project.  This fabric is limited so order now.

Quilt of Valor Kit

Just received the new Quilt of Valor kit from Moda.  This pattern and fabric is designed by Minnick and Simpson.  Several companies did fabric especially for the Quilts of Valor.  Some of these are Modas.  This can be seen at http://www.cowgirl-upquilts.com/

Flowers of the Sun

We have new fabric called Flowers of the Sun.  This is really pretty, big and bold sunflowers.  There is a pretty sunflower border and some pretty large rust colored sunflowers.  These would make wonderful bags.  We also have gotten in some Spatter by South Seas and more Moda blenders.

April is here

April is here.  Spring is definitely here as the trees are budding out.  We didn't get any rain this winter and we certainly need it.  Hopefully we won't have to wait until monsoon season in July.  We are watering trees it seems like almost the time.

Things are slowing down here at the shop.  We are expecting the new Southwest Beauties line from In The Beginning Fabrics.  This fabric was designed by Jason Yenter for the Arizona Centennial Quilt Challange.  There is some really nice southwest prints.  I will post them on http://www.cowgirl-upquilts.com/ and here when they arrive.  We also have some shade cascade by Karen Combs arriving sometime this month.  Laura
